Welcome to Niyojam. By using our application or creating an account as a Worker or Employer, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Rules for workers (job seekers)
Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age to register as a Worker on Niyojam. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
Authenticity: Your video resume must accurately reflect your identity, skills, and language capabilities. Fabricating skills or identity documents will result in an immediate lifetime ban.
Anti-ghosting policy: You are provided with limited Application Tokens. If you apply for a job, agree to an interview, and fail to show up without notifying the employer ("Ghosting"), your tokens will be burned, and your profile will be restricted.
Workplace conduct: Any verified reports of theft, substance abuse on the job, or absconding without notice will result in a permanent block across the Niyojam network.
Respectful behaviour: Workers must not threaten, harass, scam, spam, impersonate, or deliberately mislead employers or other users.
2. Rules for employers
Platform fees: Niyojam operates on a "Pay-Per-Video-Listed" model. You agree to pay the standard platform listing fee each time you post a job video on the platform.
No exploitation: You agree to pay the worker the exact salary promised during the interview. Verified reports of unpaid wages, harassment, or unsafe conditions will result in your business being blacklisted from our network.
Listing accuracy: Job posts must accurately describe salary, duties, location, timing, and benefits. Fake, duplicate, bait-and-switch, or unverifiable listings are prohibited.
3. Platform safety & objectionable content
Niyojam does not allow objectionable content or behaviour on the platform. This includes:
Scam, fraud, fake businesses, or misleading job promises.
Unsafe, illegal, exploitative, or abusive work offers.
Harassment, bullying, threats, hate, or sexual misconduct.
Spam, duplicate postings, or manipulative false urgency.
Impersonation of a business, recruiter, worker, or authority.
Workers can use in-app tools to report a job or hide jobs from a source. Niyojam may review reports, remove listings, limit visibility, suspend content, or permanently block accounts where appropriate.
4. Anti-bypass & circumvention
Niyojam invests heavily in verifying workers and maintaining a trusted hiring network. Employers are strictly prohibited from bypassing the app to finalize hires offline to avoid platform fees. We monitor conversion metrics and conduct random audits. Any Employer caught circumventing the platform will have their account banned and any associated escrows or pending wallets forfeited.
5. Platform role, no employment relationship & user responsibility
Important: Niyojam only helps workers and employers find and contact each other. Niyojam does not become the worker, the employer, a staffing agency, a labour contractor, or a guarantor for either side.
Niyojam does not employ, supervise, control, manage, or direct any worker, and does not become the employer, agent, manager, or representative of any employer.
All hiring decisions, interview decisions, salary or wage payments, advances, incentives, attendance, duties, accommodation, transport, leave, working hours, safety arrangements, termination decisions, and legal compliance are solely between the worker and the employer.
Any verification, onboarding, moderation, profile review, or document check done by Niyojam is only for platform trust and operations. It is not a promise, certification, or guarantee of identity, honesty, skills, experience, behaviour, reliability, attendance, job quality, legality, or suitability.
Workers and employers must independently verify each other and must use their own judgment before applying, hiring, paying money, sharing documents, joining work, or allowing workplace or home access.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, Niyojam, its founders, employees, and affiliates will not be responsible for any dispute, claim, loss, damage, injury, or expense arising out of or related to interactions between workers and employers.
This includes, without limitation:
non-payment, delayed payment, wage disputes, deductions, or disagreements about work terms;
candidate drop-off, refusal to join, poor performance, absenteeism, misconduct, harassment, fraud, misrepresentation, theft, property damage, assault, or unsafe conduct;
illegal, misleading, or inaccurate job information posted by a user;
any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, reputational, or financial loss suffered by a worker, employer, or third party because of a user relationship formed through the platform.
Niyojam may investigate reports, suspend accounts, remove content, or offer informal support or mediation, but we are not obligated to resolve every dispute and any such support does not mean that we have accepted legal responsibility for the underlying issue.
7. Dispute resolution
In the event of a dispute (e.g., unpaid wages, candidate absconding), Niyojam offers informal mediation support to help resolve the issue amicably. Severe violations (such as theft) require the submission of a formal Police Complaint (FIR) for Niyojam to take permanent punitive action on a user's digital profile.
8. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Raigarh, Chhattisgarh.
Before approaching courts, the parties agree to attempt resolution through binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator appointed mutually, seated in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, and proceedings shall be in English or Hindi.
9. Changes to these terms
Niyojam may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you via in-app notification or SMS at least 7 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
